You have two possibilities for using Tomplay on a PC/Mac or a computer tablet such as Windows Surface:
1. Use Tomplay directly via your Internet browser: For this, create an account or log in to your account by clicking here. Select your instrument. You can then test a free score by entering your e-mail address or access our full catalogue for this instrument. An Internet connection is necessary for using Tomplay scores via your Internet browser.
2. Use the Tomplay app for PC/Mac. To download the app, click here.
For optimum performance when using our interactive scores, we recommend that you download our computer app rather than using your browser.
To change the audio track in a score, open the score and in the upper left corner of the page, click on “Audio”. You can then choose the desired audio track.
You can record yourself by clicking on the microphone icon (Rec.).
Simply choose your accompaniment, press “Rec” and start playing!
Your computer’s microphone must be on. To switch it on, please refer to your browser’s settings.
If you are using Tomplay scores directly via your Internet browser, you will find your recordings in the section “My scores”. The recording can be found under the corresponding score.
If you are using our computer app, you will find your recordings in the section “My scores”. The recording can be found under the corresponding score.
In the Tomplay app, you can share annotations, audio recordings and folders with your students. This can be useful between lessons to add fingering suggestions or to listen to a student’s progress, for example!
In order to share content with a student, you both need to have a Tomplay account, and have bought or downloaded the same score.
Here are the steps to follow to start exchanging annotations and recordings with your students:
In the main menu of the Tomplay app, click on “My account” then “Manage my students”. Type in the name and email address of your student and click “Send invitation”. You have to send an invitation to your student, even if they already have a Tomplay account.
If your student already has a Tomplay account linked to the email address you have provided, their status will immediately be “Active” and you can therefore begin sharing content with them.
If your student does not have a Tomplay account linked to the email address you have provided, their status will be “Pending”. Your student will receive an invitation by email and should follow the steps to create a Tomplay account.
Once you have annotated a score (see How do I annotate a score?), click on “Score” at the top left-hand side of your screen, then on the arrow icon to the right of the annotated score title. Follow the steps to share the annotated score with your students. Once you have shared an annotated score with your student, it becomes a collaborative score. You can therefore both add annotations which will automatically be displayed on your student’s screen, and vice versa.
To find a shared annotated score, your student should first buy or download the corresponding score. To do this, they should click on “My account” then “My teachers” and click on your name. They can then click on the corresponding score title and they will automatically be redirected to the correct score in the Shop. The annotated score you have shared will then be displayed directly in the corresponding score, under the column “Score” at the top left-hand side, or in the main menu of the app, in “My account” then “My teachers”.
Your student can then annotate the score you have shared and you will be able to automatically see their annotations.
You can also make a copy of a shared score to save in your personal scores. You are the only person who has access to this copy, so you can keep track of an annotated score without it being modified by your student. To make a copy, click on the square icon to the right of the shared score title.
Once you have made a recording in the Tomplay app (see How do I record myself?), click on “Audio” at the top left-hand side of your screen, then on the arrow icon to the right of the recording title to share it with your student.
Your student will find all recordings you have shared in the corresponding score, under the “Audio” column at the top left-hand side, or in the main menu of the app, in “My account” then “My teachers”.
Please note that your students can also share recordings with you by following the same steps above. These recordings are available in your score, under “Audio”, or you can listen to them via “My account” then “Manage my students”. Click on your student’s name and then on the play button.
Once you have created a folder (see How do I create personal folders and playlists?), open it and click on the arrow icon at the top right-hand side. Follow the steps to share it with your students.
To access a folder which you have shared, your student should go to “My account” then “My teachers”. There will be a notification beside your name showing that you have shared a folder. If they click on it, they will be able to download the shared folder which will then appear in the “My scores” section.
The sharing feature can be used in iOS and Android apps, as well as the PC/Mac app which you can download here. This feature is not yet available on the Tomplay website. If you use your Tomplay account via the website, you will not be able to share annotations, recordings and folders with your students.
In the Tomplay app, you can share annotations, audio recordings and folders with your colleagues. This can be useful when preparing a shared lesson or exam, for example.
In order to share content with a colleague, you both need to have a Tomplay account, and have bought or downloaded the same score.
How to share content with your colleagues:
In the main menu of the Tomplay app, click on “My account” then “Manage my colleagues”. Type in the name and email address of your colleague and click “Send invitation”.
If your colleague already has a Tomplay account linked to the email address you have provided, their status will immediately be “Active” and you can therefore begin sharing content with them.
If your colleague does not have a Tomplay account linked to the email address you have provided, their status will be “Pending”. Your colleague will receive an invitation by email and should follow the steps to create a Tomplay account.
Once you have annotated a score (see How do I annotate a score?), click on “Score” at the top left-hand side of your screen, then on the arrow icon to the right of the annotated score title. Follow the steps to share the annotated score with your colleagues. Once you have shared an annotated score with your colleague, it becomes a collaborative score. You can therefore both add annotations which will automatically be displayed on your colleague’s screen, and vice versa.
To find an annotated score shared by your colleague, you should first buy or download the corresponding score. To do this, go to “My account” then “Manage my colleagues” and click on their name. You can then click on the corresponding score title and you will automatically be redirected to the correct score in the Shop. The annotated score shared by your colleague will then be displayed directly in the corresponding score, under the column “Score” at the top left-hand side, or in the main menu of the app, in “My account” then “Manage my colleagues”.
You can also make a copy of a shared score to save in your personal scores. You are the only person who has access to this copy, so you can keep track of an annotated score without it being modified by your colleague. To make a copy, click on the square icon to the right of the shared score title.
Once you have made a recording in the Tomplay app (see How do I record myself?), click on “Audio” at the top left-hand side of your screen, then on the arrow icon to the right of the recording title. Follow the steps to share it with your colleagues.
All recordings shared by your colleagues will be available directly in the corresponding score, under the “Audio” column at the top left-hand side, or in the main menu of the app, in “My account” then “Manage my colleagues”.
Once you have created a folder (see How do I create personal folders and playlists?), open it and click on the arrow icon at the top right-hand side. Follow the steps to share it with your colleagues.
To see folders shared by your colleagues, go to “My account” then “Manage my colleagues”. There will be a notification beside your colleague’s name showing that a folder has been shared with you. If you click on it, you will be able to download the shared folder which will then appear in the “My scores” section.
The process is the same for sharing with colleagues as it is for sharing with students. This video explains the process:
The sharing feature can be used in iOS and Android apps, as well as the PC/Mac app which you can download here. This feature is not yet available on the Tomplay website. If you use your Tomplay account via the website, you will not be able to share annotations, recordings and folders with your colleagues.
If you go via your internet browser, you can delete a recording by clicking on the waste paper bin icon alongside the score in the “My scores” section. The recording can be found under the corresponding score.
If you are using our computer app, you can delete it in the main “My scores” menu in the app. Click on “My recordings” and on the waste paper bin icon to the right of the recording you want to delete.
To annotate a score, you must first create a new one. In the upper right-hand corner, click on “Create score”.
Enter a name of your choosing and click on “Save”.
With the "Annotation" tab, you can add any musical annotation such as a sharp symbol, a crescendo, or fingering. To add an annotation, select it and, holding the mouse down, drag it to the desired location on the score. Do the same in order to move an existing annotation.
With the "Draw" tab, you can draw on the sheet music. Select a color and weight, and hold down your left mouse button to draw.
With the "Highlight" tab, you can highlight a note, a staff or a bar in semi-transparent colour. Select a colour and weight and hold down the left mouse button to highlight.
With the "Text" tab, you can add text to the score. Select a color, and click on anywhere in the score. Write your text with your keyboard. With the "Size" tool, you can then adjust the size of the text. Move the text box wherever you want by holding down your left mouse button on the grey button just above the text. Then, press on the pink button on the bottom-right of your text to approve your annotation.
To delete an annotation, click on the "Erase" tool and bring your mouse over to the annotation to delete it. The "Undo" button allows you to undo your last step.
All your changes are saved automatically when you close the annotation panel by clicking on the cross on the top left.
Finally, to display the annotations panel again, please click on “Edit a score” on the top right. You can access your annotated score by selecting it in the “Score” drop-down list on the top left.
If you wish to delete an annotation, click on “Edit a score” on the top right in order to open the annotations panel. Then click on the "Erase" button and then click on the annotation that you want to delete. If you deleted the wrong annotation, click on the "Undo" button and the annotation will reappear.
To delete an annotated score, click on “Score” in the upper left-hand corner, then click on the waste paper basket-shaped icon next to the score you want to delete.
To print a score from your computer (from our website or our PC/Mac app), go to My scores and open the score you wish to print. Click on the printer icon and your score will print just like any other document from your computer.
You cannot print any scores during the 14-day free trial when you take out an annual subscription.

You want to play your Tomplay sheet music while turning the pages with your foot using a Bluetooth pedal? Tomplay is compatible with most Bluetooth pedals on the market. You simply need to connect your pedal via the Bluetooth settings of your device and then go to Tomplay. The pedal will work automatically.
Please note, Bluetooth pedals do not currently work with Tomplay on smartphones. They work on all computers and tablets only with the “Pages” scroll mode selected in the score settings.
Below is the detailed procedure for three main Bluetooth page-turner pedal models.
AIRTURN BT-105 and BT-106
If pairing doesn't work, you can try the following:
If the pairing worked, but the pedal does not turn the pages as expected in Tomplay, the wrong mode may be selected. On the BT-105 and BT-106 pedals, Mode 1 must be selected. To select a mode, refer to the manuals below.
For more information, here are the complete manuals for the AirTurn BT-105 and BT-106 pedals.
PAGEFLIP Cicada, Butterfly, Firefly and Dragonfly
If pairing doesn't work, you can try the following:
If the pairing worked, but the pedal does not turn the pages as expected in Tomplay, the wrong mode may be selected. You can choose between several pedal modes. These preprogrammed modes can be reprogrammed so that each pedal can transmit any keystroke or keyboard shortcut function. Select mode 1, “Page up / Page down” for the page-turner to operate.
For more information, below are the complete manuals for four Pageflip pedals:
Pageflip Cicada, Pageflip Butterfly, Pageflip Firefly, Pageflip Dragonfly
IRIG BLUETURN and BLUEBOARD
If pairing does not work: pedals iRig BlueTurn and BlueBoard are detectable during 30 seconds at startup (only after selecting a mode). If no device has been connected after this time, try turning your pedal off and back on again so that it can be detected by your PC / Mac.
If the pairing worked, but the pedal does not turn the pages as expected in Tomplay, the wrong mode may be selected. For more information on the different modes of the BlueTurn, refer to the IRig BlueTurn user manual.

In the folder, you can also create a Playlist to play scores one after the other, without interruption. To do that, go into the folder and click on the “Playlist mode” button. Once you reach the end of a score, it will automatically load the next one (the cursor must be allowed to reach the end of the last measure to automatically go to the next score).

The Tomplay app for iPad and iPhone can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store.
Click here from your iPad or simply tap “Tomplay” in the App Store search bar.
To change the audio track in a score, open the score and in the upper left corner of the page, click on “Audio”. You can then choose the desired audio track.
You can record yourself by clicking on the microphone icon. Simply choose your accompaniment and click on “Rec”.
If the microphone does not work, it means that you have not granted Tomplay permission to use it. Go to your tablet’s settings and authorise use of the microphone.
Once you have saved your recording, you can listen to it in the main “My scores” menu in the app.
You will find your recording underneath the image of the corresponding score.
Once you have saved your recording, you can delete it in the main “My scores” menu in the app.
Click on “My recordings” and on the waste paper basket icon to the right of the recording you want to delete.
We regret that our app currently does not allow you to keep your recordings if you are using a new iPad or iPhone or if you delete the app. We are working on a new system that will make it possible to save your recordings on the Cloud.

Then tap on the "Erase" button and then tap on the annotation that you want to delete. If you deleted the wrong annotation, click on the "Undo" button and the annotation will reappear.
To delete an annotated score, click on “Score” in the upper left-hand corner, then click on the waste paper basket-shaped icon next to the score you want to delete.
In the main “My scores” menu, click on “Settings”, select "Delete my account" and confirm the account deletion.
Note: if you have an active subscription, you will not be able to delete your account. Cancel your subscription, or contact us to get an assistance.
All your notes are automatically saved to the Cloud. To retrieve your scores and notes on your new iPad or iPhone, follow the following steps:
1. Open the Tomplay app on your new iPad or iPhone and log in to your Tomplay account.
2. Go to “My account”, then click on “Synchronise the scores between my devices”.
3. Import the scores you want. All your notes will automatically appear in your account once they have been downloaded.
To print a score from your iPad or iPhone, you must have a printer connected with AirPrint. Open the score you wish to print and click on the printer icon on the right at the bottom.
If you don't have a printer compatible with AirPrint, you can print all your scores from your computer by logging in to our website www.tomplay.com and going to "My Scores". Open the score you want and click on the printer icon. Your score will print from your computer just like any other document.
You cannot print any scores during the 14-day free trial when you take out an annual subscription.
For annual subscribers, at the end of the trial period the number of printings is limited to 48 different scores per year (96 for authorised teachers). You can print the same score as many times as you like. When your subscription is ready for renewal, the number of printings available will be re-set (48 printings per new year or 96 for an authorised teacher).
Monthly subscriptions are limited to 4 printings per months (8 for authorised teachers). You can print the same score as many times as you like. When your subscription is ready for renewal, the number of printings available will be re-set (4 printings per new year or 8 for an authorised teacher).
Subscribers can also buy extra printing packs (€6 for 4 printings) by clicking the following link
There is no time limit for these printings to be used.
To delete a score, go to the “My scores” section and press on the pen icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Select the scores you would like to delete by pressing on the score image and press on “Delete” in the bottom right-hand corner.
If you delete a score, you will still have the option of restoring it afterwards with all the annotations you have made.
Watch this video to see how to create folders to organize your scores and to create playlists within folders so you can play one piece after another, without interruption.
Please note, this feature is only available in the Tomplay apps. Currently, you cannot see and create personal folders and playlists within your personal space on the Tomplay website.
To create a folder, click on the “My scores” tab in the app in the top right-hand corner and on the Folder icon (next to the Pen icon). Name your folder and click “OK”. Then add the scores you wish to group in your new folder and click “Finish”.
You will then have the possibility of reordering your scores as you want within the folder. To do this, go into the folder and click on the Pen icon in the top right-hand corner. Then click on the six dots to the right of the score name and slide the score up or down.
Please note that when you delete a score from a folder, it will remain in the “My scores” section (scores are copied into folders, not moved). If you delete a score from the “My scores” section, it will also remain in the folder.
You can change the order of the playlist by reordering the pieces within the folder, as explained above.
You want to play your Tomplay sheet music while turning the pages with your foot using a Bluetooth pedal ? Tomplay is compatible with most Bluetooth pedals on the market. You simply need to connect your pedal via the Bluetooth settings of your device and then go to Tomplay. The pedal will work automatically.
Please note, Bluetooth pedals do not currently work with Tomplay on smartphone. They work on all computers and tablets only with the “Pages” scroll mode selected in the score settings.
Below is the detailed procedure for three main Bluetooth page turner pedal models.
AIRTURN BT-105 and BT-106
If pairing doesn't work, you can try the following:
If the pairing worked, but the pedal does not turn the pages as expected in Tomplay, the wrong mode may be selected. On the BT-105 and BT-106 pedals, Mode 3 must be selected. To select a mode, refer to the manuals below.
When the pedal is connected, the keyboard for writing text on your iPad / iPhone may disappear. To reactivate the keyboard, quickly press the red button (Airturn BT-105 pedal) or the power button (Airturn BT-106) when you are in any text box on your iPad / iPhone . Your virtual keyboard will reappear on your screen.
Select Mode 3, “Up-Down Arrow” for the page turner to operate.
Virtual keyboard: The PageFlip pedal acts as a keyboard by default. It is possible that the virtual keyboard of your iPad / iPhone allowing you to write text disappear when you connect the pedal to your IOS device. To make your keyboard reappear, press your pedal on the active mode button. The mode will remain unchanged, but this will allow you to make the Apple virtual keyboard appear or disappear.
For more information, below are the complete manuals for four Pageflip pedals:
Pageflip Cicada, Pageflip Butterfly, Pageflip Firefly, Pageflip Dragonfly
IRIG BLUETURN and BLUEBOARD
If pairing does not work : pedals iRig BlueTurn and BlueBoard are detectable during 30 seconds at startup (only after selecting a mode). If no device has been connected after this time, try turning your pedal off and back on again so that it can be detected by your iPad / iPhone.
If the pairing worked, but the pedal does not turn the pages as expected in Tomplay, the wrong mode may be selected. For more information on the different modes of the BlueTurn, refer to the IRig BlueTurn user manual.

To print a score from your Android tablet or smartphone, you must have a printer connected to your Wifi. Open the score you wish to print and click on the printer icon on the right at the bottom.
If you don't have a wifi-connected printer, you can print all your scores from your computer by logging in to our website www.tomplay.com and going to "My Scores". Open the score you want and click on the printer icon. Your score will print from your computer just like any other document.
You cannot print any scores during the 14-day free trial when you take out an annual subscription.
For subscriptores anuales, at the end of the trial period the number of printings is limited to 48 different scores per year (96 for authorised teachers).
You can change the order of the playlist by reordering the pieces within the folder, as explained above.
On the BT-105 and BT-106 pedals, Mode 3 must be selected. To select a mode, refer to the manuals below.
Select Mode 3, “Up-Down Arrow” for the page-turner to operate.
If no device has been connected after this time, try turning your pedal off and back on again so that it can be connected to your Android device.
If the pairing worked, but the pedal does not turn the pages as expected in Tomplay, the wrong mode may be selected. For more information on the different modes of the BlueTurn, refer to the IRig BlueTurn user manual.
